‘The Treasures of Victories’: a Persian prose account of Alauddin Khalji’s campaigns to 1311, written by an eyewitness of his court.

What it says

Khusrau describes the fall of Ranthambhor and Chittor, then Malik Kafur’s march south: the siege of Warangal in 1310, where the Kakatiya Prataparudra bought peace with treasure, elephants and horses; Dwarasamudra of the Hoysalas in 1311; and the raid into the Pandya country of Ma‘bar, where he tells of temples broken and their gold carried off.

What it proves

It is the Sultan’s own court record of the first northern assault on the Kakatiya, Hoysala and Pandya kingdoms.
