Warrior burials in the upper Ganga–Yamuna doab, laid with three wheeled vehicles, copper-sheathed coffins, swords and a helmet.

What it says

The 2018 trenches opened burials with legged wooden coffins decorated in copper, antenna-hilted copper swords, daggers, shields, a copper helmet, beads and pottery. Three two-wheeled vehicles lay in the graves, their solid wheels sheathed in copper triangles. The ASI calls them chariots; some archaeologists prefer “carts” because the wheels are solid and not spoked. The 2005–06 digging nearby had already found 116 burials.

What it proves

It places wheeled war vehicles, swords and armour in the Ganga–Yamuna doab around 2000 BCE, in a land the Mahabharata knows as Kuru country.
