Kept at
Two printed volumes, in many reprints

A two-volume district manual that gathers Malabar’s history, land tenures and records, with a long account of the Mysorean conquest.

What it says

Logan tells of Haidar Ali’s invasion of 1766 and of Tipu Sultan’s rule to 1792: Hindus forcibly converted, temples attacked, and the Zamorin’s family, the rajas and many Nair and Brahmana households fleeing south to Travancore. He also covers the Keralolpatti, the Zamorins and the Mappila outbreaks of his own century.

What it proves

It is the standard 19th-century record of Malabar under Mysore, drawn from the district’s own papers.
