The Devas come to see Rama's wedding

Knowing the auspicious moment, the Devas rain flowers and beat drums. Shiva, Brahma and hosts of Devas mount their vimanas in many groups and set out, bodies thrilling and hearts eager, to watch Shri Rama's wedding. Seeing Janakpur they are so charmed that their own worlds seem small. They gaze in wonder at the marvellous pavilion and its unearthly workmanship. The men and women of the city are treasures of beauty, graceful, righteous, gentle and wise; beside them the Devas and their consorts look like stars before the moon. Brahma is astonished to find nothing of his own making there. Shiva calms the Devas: do not lose yourselves in wonder; steady your minds and reflect that this is the wedding of Sita and the hero of the Raghus.
