Janaka's party calls the procession

The king asks his priest why there should be any delay now. Shatananda calls the ministers, who bring every auspicious thing. Conches, drums and tabors sound; pitchers and lucky objects are arranged; married women sing, and pure Brahmins chant the Vedas. Thus they go respectfully to the guests' lodging. Seeing the court of the lord of Koshala, they find even Indra small beside it. They say: the hour has come, please set out. At these words the drums are struck. The king asks his guru, performs the family rites and starts out with the munis and holy men. Seeing the fortune and splendour of Avadh's lord, Brahma and the Devas praise him with a thousand mouths and count their own births as wasted.
