At that moment the two princes arrive, as though charm itself had taken bodily form, oceans of virtue, refined and heroic, one dark and one fair. Among the assembled kings they shine like two full moons among the stars. Here Tulsidas states a teaching: each person saw the Lord's form according to the feeling in his own heart. Warrior kings saw heroism itself in a body. Crooked kings were frightened, as if they faced a terrible form. Asuras disguised as kings saw him plainly as Death. The townsfolk saw the two brothers as ornaments of mankind, a delight to the eyes. The women looked with gladdened hearts, each after her own liking, as though the mood of love itself had taken an incomparable form.
