The wise, the yogis and Sita behold him
The list of beholders continues. The learned saw the Lord as the cosmic form with countless faces, hands, feet and eyes. Janaka's kinsmen saw a dear relative; Janaka and the queens felt a love like that for their own child. To the yogis he shone as the supreme reality, calm, pure and self-luminous. Devotees of Hari saw their chosen deity, giver of every joy. The feeling with which Sita gazed at Shri Rama cannot be told; she felt it and could not speak it, so how could a poet? Each saw the prince of Kosala according to his own bhava, and the two brothers shine there, stealing the eyes of the whole world.
