Rama takes His brothers and friends to hunt in the forest each day, chooses only fit animals, and brings them to show the king. Every creature struck by His arrow goes to the world of the devas. He eats with His brothers and companions and obeys His parents. The treasure of mercy arranges whatever will make the townsfolk happy. He listens closely to the Veda and Puranas and explains them to His brothers. Rising at dawn, He bows to mother, father and guru, then sees to the work of the city, and the king rejoices. The formless, unborn One does these deeds for His devotees.
