Saguna and nirguna are one

Shiva teaches: there is no difference between the Lord with qualities and the Lord without; sages, Puranas, the wise and the Vedas sing so. The formless, unborn One becomes saguna out of love for his devotees. How can the qualityless have qualities? Just as water, ice and hail are not different. How can delusion touch one whose very name is a sun to the darkness of error? Rama is the sun of existence, consciousness and bliss; there is not a trace of the night of delusion in him. Joy and grief, knowledge and ignorance, ego and pride belong to the jiva. Rama is Brahman, pervading the world, supreme bliss, highest Lord, the ancient one. Saying that this jewel of the Raghu line is his own master, Shiva bows his head.
