Sita meets her kin, mother and father, and returns, pure in love. She bows to and embraces all her mothers-in-law; the poet's heart has no courage to describe that love. Hearing their counsel and receiving the blessings she wished for, Sita stays absorbed in the love of both families. Raghupati has fine palanquins brought and, consoling them, seats all the mothers. With horses, elephants and many carriages, Bharata's army moves off, everyone walking as if senseless, Rama, Sita and Lakshmana in their hearts. Even the beasts go heavy-hearted. The Lord bows at the feet of the guru and his wife, and with Sita and Lakshmana turns back, in joy mixed with sorrow, to the leaf hut.
