Hearing Bharata and seeing his nature, the king and the assembly praise him. His words are easy yet deep, soft yet firm, few in letters and boundless in meaning; like a face in a mirror, they cannot be grasped. Janaka, Bharata, the muni and the saints go to Rama, the moon to the lilies of the gods. The gods first note the guru's state, then Videha's special love, then Bharata full of devotion to Rama, and the selfish gods lose heart. Everyone they see is steeped in love of Rama, and Indra falls into untold anxiety. Rama is bound by love and modesty, he says; let us join and work some contrivance, or our cause is lost.
