Bharata sees Rama among the sages

Screened by forest, Lakshmana does not see them come. Bharata sees the holy hermitage, home of every blessing. As he enters, the fire of grief dies, like a yogi reaching the highest goal. He sees Lakshmana standing before the Lord, matted hair on his head, a sage's cloth at his waist, quiver tied, bow on his shoulder, arrow in hand. On the altar, among sages and saints, Rama sits with Sita, in bark garments, hair matted, body dark, as if Rati and Kama had taken a hermit's dress. Turning bow and arrow in his lotus hands, with a smiling glance he takes away the heart's burning. Amid the circle of munis, Sita and Rama shine like devotion and Sachchidananda embodied in an assembly of knowledge.
