A voice from the sky; Rama vouches for Bharata

A voice from the sky praises Lakshmana's might: who can tell or know your power? Yet whatever is to be done, right or wrong, everyone says do it after thought. Those who act in haste and repent are not wise, say the Vedas and the learned. Lakshmana is abashed, and Rama and Sita honour him. Rama says: brother, you spoke good policy. The pride of rule is the hardest of all; kings who sip it go mad, those who have not served the company of saints. But hear, Lakshmana. Nowhere in creation has anyone heard or seen one like Bharata. Even gaining the seat of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, Bharata would feel no pride. Can a drop of sour gruel spoil the ocean of milk?
