Bharata goes on. Lakshmana, young and handsome, deserves to be cherished; there never was and never will be such a brother. Beloved of the city, darling of his parents, dear as life to Sita and Raghubar, of tender form and gentle nature, on whose body even a hot wind never blew, he now bears every hardship in the forest. This breast of mine has outdone ten million thunderbolts. Rama by his birth lit up the world, an ocean of beauty, virtue and every good. His nature gives joy to citizens, kin, guru, father and mother. Ten million Sheshas could not count his virtues. He, the jewel of the Raghus, sleeps on kusha spread on the ground. Strong indeed is the way of fate.
