Shri Rama leaves Chitrakoot for Atri's ashram

For many months Rama lived at Chitrakoot and did lilas sweet as the nectar of the Veda. Then he reflects that people now know him there and crowds will come. He takes leave of all the munis and sets out with Sita and his brother. When Atri hears that the Lord has come to his ashram, the great sage runs out, his body thrilling with joy. Rama hurries to meet him and falls at his feet in full prostration; Atri lifts him to his heart and bathes both brothers in tears of love. Gazing on Rama, the muni's eyes are cooled. He worships them and offers roots and fruits. Seating Rama, the wise sage joins his palms to sing his praise.
