Kavi Bhargava sings five gayatri verses. Through this fine work of the rite Soma has grown great, and rejoicing he acts like a bull. His deeds that crush the dasyus are well known, and boldly he collects what is owed. When the hymn to him is born, the juice fit for Indra becomes a vajra that wins a thousand. The poet himself, as he is groomed by the thoughts, seeks treasure for the sage. The closing verse asks that Soma, eager to win riches, help us as with racehorses in contests, and that we be among the victors in battle.
