Medhatithi Kanva sings in gayatri. The swift, blazing drops have gone forth like restless cattle, driving away the black skin. The rishi prays to cross the hard bridge to well-being, overcoming the dasyu who keeps no vrata. The sound of the mighty Pavamana is heard like the noise of rain, and lightnings move in heaven. He is asked to flow great nourishment with cattle, gold, horses and strength. Far-seeing, let him fill both great worlds as the dawn and sun fill them with rays. Let him flow round us with a sheltering stream, as the Rasa river flows round the land.
