Wealth of Two Realms for the Singer

Brihanmati Angirasa's second sukta, in gayatri. Purifying, the far-seeing Soma has overcome all who scorn, and the singers adorn the inspired one with their thoughts. The ruddy bull mounts his seat, goes to Indra and sits in a firm place. Then come the requests: great wealth from every side, a thousandfold; all splendours brought by Pavamana; food in thousands; wealth with fine heroes for the praiser; growth for the singer's songs. The last verse asks for riches that span both worlds, wealth worthy of praise.
