What happens in this chapter

Ten Fingers Groom the Tawny One

Rahugana Angirasa's second sukta, in gayatri, points at Soma again and again with 'this one'. This bull, a chariot, flows through the sheep's wool toward a thousandfold prize. Trita's maidens urge the tawny Indu with stones for Indra to drink. Ten busy fingers groom him, and with them he is made bright for joy. Like a falcon he settles among the clans of men, like a lover going to his beloved. This delightful juice, child of heaven, looks down as Indu enters the fleece. Pressed for drinking, the tawny one flows, roaring, to his dear seat.
