Rahugana Angirasa sings in gayatri, each verse opening with sa, 'he'. The bull Soma, pressed for Indra's draught, flows onto the filter, striking down rakshasas as he goes toward the Devas. Far-seeing and tawny, he runs roaring to his seat. The swift Pavamana races across the bright realms of heaven, through the woollen fleece. On Trita's height he made the sun shine together with his kin. Pressed, the slayer of Vritra, never deceived, has found open space and run to the prize. Sent by the poet, the deva Indu runs into the wooden vessels for Indra with his bounty.
