Nrimedha Angirasa sings of Pavamana Soma in gayatri, each verse beginning with eṣa, 'this one'. This praised poet is driven into the filter, purifying and striking away the hostile. He is poured for Indra and Vayu, the winner of the sunlit sky, giver of skill. Pressed, the bull and head of heaven is led by men, the all-knowing Soma in the wooden vessels. Seeking cows and gold, the drop that wins everything, unconquered, has roared. With Surya he strives in heaven, the joy that gladdens in the filter. The mighty tawny bull has rushed through the mid-air, the purified drop going to Indra.
