Idhmavaha Dardhachyuta praises Pavamana Soma in gayatri, each verse opening with tam, 'him'. The sages groomed the steed in the lap of Aditi with fine thought. The cows lowed to him, the drop of a thousand streams, unfailing, upholder of heaven. With wisdom they urged on the ordainer Pavamana in heaven, the upholder who nourishes many. With the thought of the two arms they urged on the lord of speech, clothed by Vivasvat, the undeceivable. On the height the sisters urge the tawny, lovely, far-seeing one with the stones. The priests urge Pavamana, grown by song, as the gladdening drop for Indra.
