Bharadvaja Barhaspatya calls Indra and Pushan together, in gayatri, for friendship, well-being and the prize. The pair are set side by side with a smile in the words. One sits down to drink Soma pressed in the two bowls; the other wants his karambha gruel. Goats draw one, two bays the other, and with them Indra strikes the obstructions. When Indra, mightiest bull, brought down the great waters, Pushan was with him. We hold to Pushan's kindness and Indra's as one grasps a branch of a tree. The poet ends drawing them close, as a charioteer gathers the reins.
