Indra with the Maruts, drink

Five trishtubh verses of Vishvamitra to Indra Marutvat, Indra with the Maruts, used at the midday pressing. The bull is asked to drink Soma for delight and pour the wave of honey into his belly, for he is king of the pressings from of old. With his troop of Maruts, slayer of Vritra, he is to drink, strike the enemies and make safety on every side. With the seasons and the deva friends he guards the Soma. The Maruts strengthened him at the slaying of Ahi, against Shambara and in the search for cows. The rishi calls this fierce Indra for fresh help.
