Indra, sole king of all the world

Five trishtubh verses of Vishvamitra to Indra. The rishi praises the heroic deeds of the warrior bull, self-ruling, fierce, young yet firm, unaging, wielder of the vajra. Great buffalo, winner of riches, Indra is the one king of the whole world, who makes people fight and makes them dwell. He surpasses every measure and is beyond heaven, earth and the wide air. The pressed Somas enter him, wide and deep, as streams enter the sea. Heaven and earth carry the Soma for him as a mother bears a child, and the adhvaryus press and cleanse it for him to drink.
