Without Hari's bhajan, Bhushundi says, the sorrows of jivas do not end. Avidya never grips Hari's servant; what moves him by the Lord's will is vidya, so the servant is not destroyed. That is the difference bhakti makes. Seeing the crow stunned by error, Rama laughed, and what followed no one understood. On hands and knees the dark child with rosy hands and feet crawled to catch him. Bhushundi fled, and Rama stretched out his arm. However far he flew into the sky, he saw Hari's arm right beside him. Even at Brahmaloka the arm was two fingers away. He pierced the seven coverings of the universe, as far as he could go, saw the Lord's arm even there, and was overcome.
