Shiva tells Garuda: no katha without satsang

Garuda bows his head at Bhagwan Shiva's feet and tells his doubt. Hearing the soft-spoken plea, Shiva answers with affection, as he now recounts to Bhavani. You met me on the road, Garuda; how could I make you understand here? Doubt breaks only when one keeps satsang for a long time and hears there the lovely katha of Hari, whose subject from first to last is Bhagwan Rama. I will send you where Hari's katha is told daily; go and listen, and all your doubt will vanish, and great love for Rama's feet will grow. Shiva's doha sets out the chain: without satsang no Hari katha, without it delusion does not flee, and until delusion goes there is no firm love for Rama's feet.
