In Kali, singing Rama's virtues is enough
Kakbhushundi sets the four yugas side by side for Garuda. In Krita men are yogis who cross by meditating on Hari. In Treta they cross by yajnas offered to the Lord. In Dvapara they cross by worshipping Raghupati's feet. In Kali there is no yoga, yajna or knowledge; the one support is singing Rama's virtues. Whoever drops every other reliance and sings them with love will cross, beyond doubt, for the Name's power is plain in Kali. Kali has a further grace: good intentions count as merit, while sins of the mind are not counted. With faith, no age equals it. Of dharma's four feet, charity now leads; given in any way, it brings good.
