Vibhishana falls prostrate, and the Lord rises at once in joy, seizes him in His long arms and clasps him to His heart. Seating him close beside Lakshmana, He asks: lord of Lanka, are you and your family well? You live in a bad place, among the wicked day and night; how do you keep your dharma? I know your ways; you are wise and dislike wrongdoing. Better to live in hell, son, than in wicked company. Seeing your feet I am well, Raghurai, Vibhishana replies, since you showed mercy knowing me your own. No soul is well, nor rests even in dreams, until it leaves desire, home of sorrow, and worships Rama.
