Raghunayak understands the whole secret. He calls Angada and Hanuman and explains what has happened; hearing it, the two great monkeys rush out in anger. Then the merciful Lord smiles, strings his bow and swiftly looses a fire arrow. Light spreads and no darkness remains anywhere, as doubts vanish when knowledge dawns. Finding light, the bears and monkeys run forward joyfully, their weariness and fear gone. At the roar of Hanuman and Angada the rakshasas flee, and the bears and monkeys dash them to the ground. They grab some by the feet and throw them into the sea, where crocodiles, serpents and fish catch and eat them. Some are killed, some wounded, some run up into the fort, and the bears and monkeys roar, having broken the enemy's strength.
