Hanuman brings Sita news of victory
The Lord sends Hanuman to Lanka to give Janaki the news and bring back word of her. The rakshasa women honour him and lead him to her. He bows from a distance, and she knows him as Raghupati's messenger. Is the Lord well, she asks, with his brother and the army? All is well, mother, says Hanuman; he has conquered Ravana, and Vibhishana has an unshakeable kingdom. Joy floods her and her eyes fill. What can I give you? Nothing in the three worlds equals your words. Hanuman answers: today I have gained the whole world, for I see Rama safe and victorious. Sita blesses him: may every virtue dwell in your heart, and may the Lord of Kosala always be kind to you.
तब हनुमन्त नगर महँ आये । सुनि निसिचरी निसाचर धाये ॥
बहु प्रकार तिन्ह पूजा कीन्ही । जनकसुता देखाइ पुनि दीन्ही ॥

bahu prakāra tinha pūjā kīnhī | janakasutā dekhāi puni dīnhī ||
दूरहि ते प्रनाम कपि कीन्हा । रघुपति दूत जानकीं चीन्हा ॥

सब विधि कुसल कोसलाधीसा । मातु समर जीत्यो दससीसा ॥
अबिचल राज बिभीषन पायो । सुनि कपि बचन हरष उर छायो ॥
saba vidhi kusala kosalādhīsā | mātu samara jītyo dasasīsā ||
abicala rāja bibhīṣana pāyo | suni kapi bacana haraṣa ura chāyo ||
अति हरष-मन तन पुलक लोचन, सजल कह पुनि पुनि रमा ।
का देउँ तोहि त्रेलोक महँ कपि किमपि नहिँ बानी समा ॥
सुनु मातु मैं पायउँ अखिल जग, राज आजु न संसयं ।
रन जीति रिपु दल-बन्धु-जुत-पस्यामि राममनामयं ॥
ati haraṣa-mana tana pulaka locana, sajala kaha puni puni ramā |
kā deum̐ tohi treloka maham̐ kapi kimapi nahim̐ bānī samā ||
sunu mātu maiṃ pāyaum̐ akhila jaga, rāja āju na saṃsayaṃ |
rana jīti ripu dala-bandhu-juta-pasyāmi rāmamanāmayaṃ ||
सुनु सुत सदगुन सकल तव, हृदयँ बसहु हनुमन्त ।
सानुकूल कोसलपति, रहहुँ समेत अनन्त ॥
sunu suta sadaguna sakala tava, hṛdayam̐ basahu hanumanta |
