Hanuman rouses Sugriva; Lakshmana storms the city

Meanwhile Hanuman reflects that Sugriva has forgotten Rama's work. He goes to him, bows, and makes him understand by every means of counsel. Sugriva is gripped by fear: the senses have stolen my wisdom. He orders Hanuman to send messengers to call the monkey troops from everywhere, and declares that whoever does not come within a fortnight will die by his hand. Hanuman summons the envoys, honours each one, and with fear, affection and policy sends them on their way. Just then Lakshmana reaches the city, and the monkeys scatter at the sight of his anger. Stringing his bow he says he will burn the city to ash. Seeing the city in panic, Bali's son Angada comes before him.
