All the rivers on the mountain flow with pure water, and birds, deer and bees live happily. With Girija in his house, Himavan shines the way a man shines who has gained devotion to Shri Rama; new festivity fills his home every day,. Narada hears the news and comes to the mountain's house as if in play. The king of mountains receives him with great honour, washes his feet and gives him a fine seat. With his wife he bows his head at the sage's feet and sprinkles the water from them through the house. He praises his good fortune, calls his daughter, places her at Narada's feet, and asks the all-knowing sage to tell her merits and faults.
