Confluence of devotion and the katha's episodes

The Sarayu of good fame joined the Ganga of Rama-bhakti, and the holy fame of Rama and his brother in battle joined them as the great river Son. Between them flows devotion with knowledge and dispassion. This triple confluence, which scares away the three torments, runs toward the ocean of Rama's own form, and will purify the hearts of listeners. The varied episodes are groves on its banks. The guests at Uma and Mahesh's wedding are its countless water creatures. The joy of Raghubar's birth is its whirlpools and waves. The doha: the four brothers' childhood deeds are its lotuses, and the merit of the king, queens and household its bees and birds.
