जो बसिष्ठ अनुसासन दीन्हा । लोक बेद बिधि सादर कीन्हा ॥

Whatever Vasishtha directs is carried out with respect, by both worldly and Vedic rule. Seeing the crowd of Brahmanas, the queens rise in reverence, counting it their great fortune. The king washes their feet, has them bathed, worships them properly and feeds them, and they leave content, blessing him. Dasharatha worships Vishvamitra, son of Gadhi, in many ways, saying, lord, no one is as blessed as I am. He praises him greatly and, with the queens, takes the dust of his feet, gives him fine lodging within the palace and attends to his wishes. The princes with their brides and the king with the queens bow again and again at Vasishtha's feet, and the sage blesses them.
