Every good omen appears at once
The procession is beyond describing, and lovely omens of good fortune appear. A blue jay takes food on the left. A crow calls on the right from a good field, and everyone sees a mongoose. A gentle, cool and fragrant breeze blows favourably, and a fine woman comes carrying a full pitcher and a child. A fox shows itself again and again, and a cow suckles her calf in front of them. A herd of deer circles to the right. The kshemakari bird calls out welfare, a shyama bird is seen on a good tree to the left, and curd, fish and two learned Brahmins with books come towards them. Every auspicious, wish-granting omen appears together, as if to prove itself true.
दाहिन काग सुखेत सुहावा । नकुल दरस सब काहूँ पावा ॥
सानुकूल बह त्रिबिधि बयारी । सघट सबाल आव बर नारी ॥
dāhina kāga sukheta suhāvā | nakula darasa saba kāhūm̐ pāvā ||
sānukūla baha tribidhi bayārī | saghaṭa sabāla āva bara nārī ||
लोवा फिरि फिरि दरस देखावा । सुरभी सनमुख सिसुहि पिआवा ॥
मृगमाला फिरि दाहिनि आई । मङ्गल-गन जनु दीन्हि देखाई ॥

मंगलमय कल्यानमय, अभिमत-फल दातार ।

janu saba sāce hona hita, bhae saguna eka bāra ||
