Dasharatha questions the envoys

Hearing the letter, Bharata and his brother thrill with love too great for their bodies to hold, and the whole court is glad to see Bharata's pure affection. The king seats the envoys near him and speaks sweetly. Brothers, you saw my two boys; are they well? One dark, one fair, carrying bows and quivers, in their early youth, with the muni Kaushika: do you know them? Tell me their nature. Since the day the muni took them away, only today have I had true news. Tell me how Videha came to know them. The envoys smile at his loving words and say: hear, crown jewel of kings, no one is as blessed as you, whose sons Rama and Lakshmana adorn the world.
