Parashurama receives the bows of all
Seeing Bhrigupati's fearsome form, the kings rise trembling, each giving his own and his father's name and falling flat in obeisance. Even one he looks at kindly feels his life is ending. Janaka bows and has Sita bow to him; he blesses her and the friends take her back. Vishvamitra comes and places the two brothers at his feet: these are Rama and Lakshmana, Dasharatha's sons. Parashurama blesses the fine pair, and his eyes rest on Shri Rama, whose beauty frees even Kamadeva of pride. Then he turns to Videha and asks why there is such a crowd, asking as if he did not know, anger spreading through his body.
जेहि सुभायँ चितवहिँ हित जानी । सो जानइ जनु आइ खुटानी ॥
जनक बहोरि आइ सिर नावा । सीय बोलाइ प्रनाम करावा ॥
jehi subhāyam̐ citavahim̐ hita jānī | so jānai janu āi khuṭānī ||
janaka bahori āi sira nāvā | sīya bolāi pranāma karāvā ||
आसिष दीन्हि सखीं हरषानीं । निज समाज लइ गई सयानीं ॥

rāmahiṃ citai rahe thaki locana | rūpa apāra-māra-mada mocana ||
बहुरि बिलोकि बिदेह सन, कहहु काह अति भीर ।
पूछत जानि अजान जिमि, ब्यापेउ कोप सरीर ॥
bahuri biloki bideha sana, kahahu kāha ati bhīra |
pūchata jāni ajāna jimi, byāpeu kopa sarīra ||
