लखन सकोप बचन जब बोले । डगमगानि महि दिग्गज डोले ॥
सकल लोक सब भूप डेराने । सिय हियँ हरष जनक सकुचाने ॥
lakhana sakopa bacana jaba bole | ḍagamagāni mahi diggaja ḍole ||
sakala loka saba bhūpa ḍerāne | siya hiyam̐ haraṣa janaka sakucāne ||

When Lakshmana speaks in anger the earth shakes and the elephants of the quarters tremble. The kings are afraid, Sita rejoices and Janaka is abashed, while the guru and the munis thrill with joy. With a glance Shri Rama checks Lakshmana and seats him lovingly beside him. Knowing the moment is auspicious, Vishvamitra says tenderly: rise, Rama, break the bow of Bhava and end Janaka's anguish. Shri Rama bows at his feet, with neither joy nor sorrow in his heart, and rises at ease, with a bearing that shames a young lion. On the dais the young sun of the Raghus rises, the lotuses of the saints bloom and the bees of their eyes rejoice.
