Indra's mischief turns out well for all: hope of the term's end becomes the life of their lives. Otherwise, parted from Lakshmana, Sita and Rama, everyone would have died of that grievous sickness. By Rama's grace the tangle is set right, and the gods' raid becomes a helpful rescue. Rama clasps Bharata in his arms; the rasa of that love cannot be told. Love swells in body, mind and speech; the foremost of the steady gives up steadiness, and his lotus eyes pour tears. Munis, the guru, and men as firm as Janaka, whose minds are gold tested in the fire of knowledge they too, seeing this matchless love, sink into it, detachment and reasoning and all.
