Bharata begs for instruction without reserve

Master, Bharata says, the citizens, kin and subjects are all bound to you by pure, tender love. For your sake even the burning of worldly sorrow is good; without the Lord, even the highest state is worthless. My wise master knows everyone's wish, longing and way of life; protector of those who bow, he will keep all and see things through on both sides. So I trust you completely, and having thought it over feel no worry at all. My distress and your tenderness together made me stubborn and bold. Remove this great fault, master; set aside hesitation and teach your follower. Then the friend of the humble hears his brother's humble, guileless words and, wise to place, time and occasion, replies.
