The brothers bow to the mothers and guru's wife

The two brothers bow at the feet of the guru's wife Arundhati and the brahmin wives who came with her; all bless them. They clasp Sumitra's feet and cling to her lap, like a pauper finding treasure. Then both fall at their own mother Kaushalya's feet. All the mothers are overcome with love; they hold them close and bathe them in tears. How can a poet tell the joy and sorrow of that hour? As well ask a mute to describe a taste. After meeting the mothers, Rama asks the guru to come to the hermitage. On the sage's word the townsfolk camp where they find water and ground. Bharata, Lakshmana and Rama bring the brahmins, ministers, mothers and guru to the holy hermitage.
