Messages for Bharata, and Sita falls silent

Shri Rama's message goes on, as Sumantra reports it. Entreat all the townsfolk and kin: whoever keeps the king happy is my true well-wisher. When Bharata comes, tell him not to abandon right conduct on gaining the throne; to protect the people in deed, mind and word, serve all the mothers as equal, and keep up brotherly love, serving father, mother and kin; and to care for the king so he never grieves for me. Lakshmana spoke some harsh words; Shri Rama checked him and begged me, making me swear again and again, not to repeat the boy's outburst. In the doha Sita, sending her pranams, began to speak but was overcome with love; her words failed, her eyes filled and her body thrilled.
