मुनि कहँ राम दंडवत कीन्हा । आसिरबाद बिप्रबर दीन्हा ॥
देखि राम-छबि नयन जुड़ाने । करि सनमान आश्रमहिं आने ॥
muni kaham̐ rāma daṃḍavata kīnhā | āsirabāda biprabara dīnhā ||
dekhi rāma-chabi nayana jur̤āne | kari sanamāna āśramahiṃ āne ||

Shri Rama prostrates before the muni and receives his blessing. The sight of Shri Rama cools Valmiki's eyes; he leads his guests in with honour, has sweet roots and fruit brought, and after Sita, Lakshmana and Shri Rama have eaten, seats them well, his heart full as he gazes on the form of all auspiciousness. With folded hands Shri Rama says the muni sees all three times, the world lies in his palm like a berry. He then tells how the queen sent him to the forest, and says that his father's word, his mother's good, Bharata as king, and now the muni's darshan are all the fruit of his merit.
