Shyavashva Atreya offers six gayatri verses to Soma Pavamana. The drops that release joy have gone forth at the rite, for the fame of the generous patrons. The maidens of Trita urge the tawny Indu with the pressing stones so that Indra may drink. Like a swan calling its flock, Soma stirs every worshipper's thought, and like a racehorse he is anointed with milk. He runs like a hunted deer to sit in the seat of rita, and the cows low to him as a maiden to her beloved. The rishi asks bright glory for the patrons and for himself, with gain, wisdom and renown.
