What happens in this chapter

Ashvins, come from every side

Maharshi Vasishtha asks the Nasatyas to come on a chariot rich in cows and horses, with the other Devas, for theirs is an old friendship with his fathers and a common kinship. The hymns have woken, the Dawns have woken, and the singer greets the Ashvins. As the Dawns shine forth, Savitar lifts his light high and the fires sing with their kindling. In five trishtubh verses he calls them from west and east, from below and above, with the wealth of the five peoples.
