What happens in this chapter
Sinless before the Adityas
Three verses by Vasishtha to the Adityas. May we gain the fresh help of the Adityas and their most gracious shelter; may the swift ones, hearing us, keep this rite sinless before Aditi. Let the Adityas and Aditi rejoice, with Mitra, Aryaman and Varuna, the straightest guides; let them be guardians of the world and drink the Soma for our help today. The last verse gathers all the Adityas, all the Maruts, all the gods and all the Ribhus, with Indra, Agni and the Ashvins, praised, and ends with the Vasishtha refrain asking protection always.
आ॒दि॒त्यासो॒ अदि॑तिर्मादयन्तां मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णो॒ रजि॑ष्ठाः ।
अ॒स्माकं॑ सन्तु॒ भुव॑नस्य गो॒पाः पिब॑न्तु॒ सोम॒मव॑से नो अ॒द्य
