Each of the four ushnih mantras of Bharadvaja Barhaspatya ends with the same refrain to Indra: here is that Soma, pressed for you, drink. Each names a deed done in its gladness. In it he made Shambara bow to Divodasa. He guards its sharp pressing at the midday rite. In it he set free the cows held fast inside the rock. Exulting in it, he took on the bounteous strength of a giver. The repetition carries the praise, and the whole sukta is an offering placed before the god at the moment of drinking.
