Four mantras from Bharadvaja Barhaspatya to Indra, in anushtubh with a closing brihati. The priests are told to go before Indra with Soma in their vessels: he longs to drink, he knows all things, he arrives in time and never turns back in the fight. When they adorn him with pressed drops, the wise one knows every wish and comes to the one who seeks him. The last mantra bids the adhvaryu carry the juice to him alone, so that he will shield his people from the curse of a proud, hostile rival.
