Indra holds the peoples in his hands

Suhotra of the Bharadvaja line praises Indra in trishtubh, with one shakvari verse. Indra alone is lord of riches and holds the peoples in his two hands; men call on him with many voices for sons, waters and the sun. In fear of him all that stands firm is shaken: heaven and earth, mountains and forests tremble at his coming. With Kutsa he fought Shushna and Kuyava, and stole the wheel of the sun. He smashed the hundred forts of the Dasyu Shambara and gave wealth to Divodasa who pressed Soma and to Bharadvaja who sang. The rishi asks him to mount his fearsome chariot and come.
